About Maximus
Meet Maximus. Maximus is a big, lovable guy weighing around 70 pounds, and he’s expected to reach about 80 pounds once fully grown. As an Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees mix, he combines the heart and loyalty of both breeds. Maximus is fully potty trained and does great with dogs, cats, and children. He soaks up attention—never happier than when curled up beside you or leaning in for head kisses. He brings gentle, affectionate energy wherever he goes, complete with a signature broad smile that rarely leaves his face. Maximus was born with elbow dysplasia, a genetic condition affecting his joints. Surgery before adoption will improve his comfort, but he will need an understanding family ready to support his long-term joint health. There could be a need for medication or ongoing care as he ages, so he’s looking for people ready to love him through it all. In return, you’ll get a truly sweet companion who wants nothing more than to be close and cherished. Your new best friend is just one click away.
