About Gracie

Gracie arrived at the rescue extremely fearful and hesitant. Her early days were tough, but she’s made incredible progress since then. She’s still sensitive and has her quirks, so anyone interested in her should understand she needs a gentle hand and patience. Gracie has grown more confident in her foster home, finding comfort in familiar routines and her quiet surroundings. She adores her canine and feline foster siblings, and she’s happiest during peaceful walks, car rides, or relaxing with loved ones at home. Her world is calmer when it’s quiet, so she prefers less busy areas—woods over town streets. Loud noises like wind and thunder can unsettle her, but unlikely sounds, like the vacuum, don’t phase her. Her crate is more of a comfort option these days; she’s fine left loose in the home and loves sleeping on the bed or tucked under a desk while her foster person works. Gracie has an affectionate, gentle personality and shows no food aggression. She loves snacks, tennis balls, and relaxing in soft places. A perfect home for her would feature a calm, patient adopter (or family), a dog companion, and space that feels safe. She will need someone diligent about keeping her secure, as she would run if frightened. Car rides, shared couch time in the evenings, and a predictable routine will help Gracie continue to grow. She’s about 2 1/2 years old, spayed, and up to date on all vaccines. Click apply to start the adoption process.
