About Baguette
Baguette came into rescue as a devoted mom with a litter of pups, all of whom have gone on to new homes. Now it's Baguette's turn. She’s looking for a patient family who will give her space and let her come around at her own pace. Two months ago, Baguette was shy and unsure in her foster home. She needed distance to feel comfortable and spent her first days observing more than asking for attention. But time has worked its magic—she’s learned the daily routine, takes treats gently, knows “sit,” and now is happy to soak up affection. Belly rubs, head scratches, and quiet moments on the couch have become part of her routine. Baguette thrives in calm, low-traffic homes, and she truly opens up with people who move gently and respect her boundaries. She handles visitors well and has lived comfortably with respectful teenagers. She genuinely shines around other dogs—she loves to play with her canine foster siblings and draws confidence from friendly resident dogs. It’s clear Baguette would do best in a home where she has a playful, confident canine companion to help her navigate new experiences. True to her Cattle Dog roots, Baguette is smart and enjoys staying busy. She’s mastered the dog door, enjoys being outdoors in all weather, and likes puzzles and fetch. She’s working on her leash skills and enjoys her walks with another dog beside her. She’s still learning the rules about what counts as a toy, but she redirects easily. Baguette needs adopters willing to take baby steps and celebrate slow progress—if you bring patience and a playful dog home, she’ll pay you back with loyalty and gentle companionship. Baguette is currently in Sedalia, CO. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
