About Husk
Husk landed in rescue back in January uncertain and withdrawn, but this 5-year-old German Shepherd/Chow Chow mix has made big strides since then. These days, you’ll find him exploring with confidence, trailing along with other dogs, and greeting his people in the kitchen—treats in tow. Snacks are key to his trust, and he’s opened up into a much calmer, more affectionate companion. Dog-friendly and happiest with a canine buddy around, Husk would do best in a home with another dog to build his confidence. He gets along with cats and children, too. Potty training and leash skills are a work in progress, so patience, structure, and positive reinforcement are a must. He’s neutered, current on vaccinations, and just finished heartworm treatment—ready for a new chapter. Bit by bit, Husk is discovering the joys of couch lounging and a good brushing. He needs someone who sees his heart and can guide him the rest of the way. If you’ve got time, kindness, and a few extra treats, Husk might just be your next great adventure.
