About Bentley

Bentley is a striking 3-year-old black Lab with classic good looks and an easy charm. His start in life was rough—left behind with his brother at a high-intake shelter in Louisiana—but Bentley never lost his sweet, steady nature. A rescue stepped in for both of them, and after some twists and turns, Bentley still kept his composure, always gentle, never demanding more than a quiet walk or a friendly hand. Bentley finished his heartworm treatment recently and came through like a pro—he’s now healthy, cleared by the vet, and finally ready to settle in somewhere permanent. True to his breed, Bentley is easy, mellow, and endlessly loving. No wild antics, just polite greetings and a dependable ‘good boy’ attitude. He's leash trained, house trained, and doesn’t cause trouble. He mixes well with dogs of all sizes, gets along with cats, and thrives around children. Bentley is currently being fostered in Louisiana, but is available for adoption to families within 60 miles of NYC and will be transported to the area when he finds his foster or forever home.
