About Midnight
Midnight’s story has taken a few hard turns, but none of it has rattled his spirit. Found wandering alone in Bloomfield, NJ, he was traced back by microchip to a shelter in South Carolina, but no one could track down his original adopter. At 7 years old, Midnight is a seasoned Black Labrador Retriever with a short black coat and lots of experience navigating life’s curveballs. He bonds fast and deep to his person, often stepping into the protector role. While he takes comfort in consistency, the ideal home for Midnight is calm, low-traffic, and dog-savvy. He’s not looking to share his space with other animals or deal with a parade of visitors. Someone with experience handling large dogs with resource guarding will be a great fit. Midnight is fully vetted, house trained, and ready for his next (hopefully final) chapter. He could use an adopter who appreciates routine and loyalty over novelty. Midnight is an Aquarius—known for their independent streak and loyalty. Give this big-hearted boy a stable place where he can finally settle in. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
