About Fischer
Meet Fischer. He’s a large German Shepherd who wound up at the right doorstep, at the right moment. Fischer wandered up—no collar, no chip, nowhere to call home. Thankfully, someone noticed him, and he found his way into a foster family that knows shepherds well. Fischer adjusted easily, settling in quickly as if he understood he was finally somewhere safe. People who meet Fischer comment right away on his striking looks—he’s one of those rare dogs who just has presence. At two years old and about 80 pounds, he’s already a head-turner. But he has more going for him than looks. He’s smart and eager to learn, already making strides with obedience training and leash manners. He’s up to date on vaccines, neutered, and heartworm negative. Fischer thrives around other dogs and truly enjoys canine companionship, especially when romping in the yard with his foster siblings. He needs a secure, fenced yard and the kind of family who wants a loyal, involved companion. Fischer’s ready to leave abandonment behind for good and belong somewhere.
