Merry is one of those dogs who really thrives around other dogs. She takes her cues from canine companions and leans on them for confidence. New people are intimidating at first, but once she warms up, she's deeply loyal and friendly. Merry is both crate and house trained—she eats and sleeps in her crate and is comfortable with the routine. She’s got a few basic commands under her belt. For leash walks, she currently only feels safe in the backyard; too much change or loud commotion unsettles her outside the home. Still, she manages a weekly trip to doggie day care and actually does well mingling there. This girl will be happiest with an adopter who knows German Shepherds or has some rescue experience, ideally with another steady, friendly dog in the home.
