Sprocket
AvailableAbout Sprocket
Sprocket is a very large tuxedo boy-with a glossy black coat, bright white chest, and paws that look like they've been dipped in fresh snow. Already bigger than most cats in the neighborhood, he carries himself with the easy confidence of someone who knows he still has growing left to do. His whiskers twitch with curiosity, and his long tail seems to have a mind of its own, swaying behind him like a banner announcing his presence. Despite his size, Sprocket is a gentle giant. He squeezes himself into boxes clearly too small for him, insists on sitting in laps that quickly disappear beneath his weight, and greets everyone with a soft rumble of a purr. There's a playful clumsiness to him-he hasn't quite figured out where all his limbs end yet-which only adds to his charm. And the most remarkable thing? He's not done growing. Each week seems to bring a little more length to his frame, a little more heft to his paws. No one knows just how big Sprocket will get, but one thing's certain: he'll always be a lovable, oversized tuxedo boy at heart. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. We also have a cat cafe full of friendly, furry faces -- Whiskers Catnip Cottage in Granville! If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at www.whiskersofohio.org. You will receive an email confirmation when your application is received; if you do not, please double check that all questions on the application were answered and that your email is correct! We make no breed guarantees; we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please apply only if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered, volunteer run 501c3 non-profit organization. We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.
