About Jumbo Joe
Jumbo Joe—JoJo to his friends—breaks the mold of a typical American Bulldog. At 7 years old, he’s an oversized sweetheart, happiest when he’s snuggled up with his favorite people or enjoying a long walk. JoJo is a social boy who feels comfortable and relaxed around dogs his own size or smaller. He makes it clear, though, that cats and squirrels are best appreciated at a distance; he’s set on chasing them and needs a cat-free home. His foster mom is helping him master basic cues like Touch, Come, and Place. These routines keep JoJo feeling confident and make training a positive experience rather than a confusing one. He’s a quick study, and he gets a real kick out of food puzzles and playing fetch with his beloved collection of toys. He appreciates when people join in his playful moments and never tires of new things to do. JoJo is searching for a home—whether foster-to-adopt or forever—where daily exercise and enrichment are just as valued as downtime on the couch. He’ll thrive with force-free, positive reinforcement and new things to learn. His birthday falls under Aries, so there’s a touch of boldness and energy to him.
