Can you believe this sweet baby was left on a cul-de-sac with nothing but some food and toys? Thankfully, a kind-hearted Good Samaritan found her, and we were able to bring her into our care. Polly has been with us since March 21, 2026. She’s a Plott Hound mix with an estimated birth date of January 27, 2026. About Plott Hound Dogs

Plott Hounds are powerful, determined scent hounds and the state dog of North Carolina. They are the only coonhound breed not descended from English Foxhounds, instead tracing their ancestry to German hunting dogs. Their brindle coat and tenacious personality make them distinctive among hound breeds.

Adopting a Plott Hound brings a loyal, courageous companion who is gentle and affectionate at home. They are great with children, friendly with other dogs, and devoted to their family. Their moderate energy and steady temperament make them adaptable family pets.
