Meet River River is a 9–10 month old Plot Hound/Lab mix with a story of survival and a heart full of love. Born outdoors, he nearly lost his life at just two weeks old after being swept away in a river—but he’s proven to be a fighter ever since. Now safe and thriving, River is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find a family of his own. River loves the water (no surprise there!) and enjoys playing, exploring, and soaking up attention. He’s wonderful with kids and gets along great with other dogs, making him a fun and social companion. Because of his prey drive, he is not a good fit for homes with cats. Having only lived outside, River is still learning the ropes of indoor life. He is not yet housebroken but does well in a crate and is eager to learn with consistency and patience.
