About Wilbur
Wilbur stands out as that rare dog who always lifts your spirits. This goofy, affectionate boy thrives on human connection, making every day lighter with his expressive antics. He's got a big personality—known for sleeping upside down, snoring loudly, and sometimes nodding off while sitting or standing. His endearing quirks include unique double dew claws that double as chew toys and his unorthodox habit of drinking water nose-first. When Wilbur walks, he bounces. After bathroom breaks, he celebrates with a spontaneous 'yard aeration dance.' Cuddle time is serious business for Wilbur—he doesn't just want to sit near you, he wants to burrow into your space. He already knows how to sit (and tends to double down and offer both paws for a shake), and he's house trained, crate trained, and rides well in the car. Wilbur greets other dogs with easy confidence and is reliable around kids, even the youngest. He handles new people gracefully—a short bark, a sniff, and he’s made a new friend. If things get too overwhelming, he’ll remove himself instead of acting out. Fast movements or tight restraint can make him skittish, so a calm, patient environment is best. Wilbur is currently in heartworm treatment, and though he has a dislocated hip, it doesn’t hold him back. He’s happiest with plenty of affection and a family who appreciates his gentle presence—he’ll adapt even if you have long work hours, as long as he gets your attention when you’re home. Wilbur is in Bullard, TX and ready for a home that will love his quirks as much as his cuddles. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
