Hershey von Bitz is a very handsome 7 year old Shepherd mix. Hershey is a sweet and soulful boy with a heartfelt gaze that connects deeply as he looks at you with gentle eyes, full of hope. He appreciates affection and reassurance, and enjoys being petted. He is housebroken and was well-behaved in the home at his previous home (personal problems led to his surrender, and we've promised him a better life for his golden years). He's intelligent and already knows multiple commands including Sit, Down, Stay, Paw and Drop it. With a milder energy level, he's a pleasure to walk on leash as he strolls along nicely at a calmer pace. He has done very well around other dogs at the rescue, mingling calmly in playgroups, but isn't for cats. Hershey will be so grateful for a kind and calm home (older kids would be okay), and will reward you with devotion and sweet affection. Owner surrender - personal family issues.
