Meet Lylah! Lylah is the sweetest little 4 year-old and 6.5 pound Yorkshire Terrier mix girl, who loves head scritches, back scratches and belly rubs. To show her appreciation, she will give you one little kiss on the tip of your nose. She is afraid of new people, so her adopter will need to know she will likely need to decompress for 24 hours and it will may take a week until she starts to trust them. Lylah was a breeder surrender who came to the rescue in October 2025 with 30 other dogs. It took her a little bit to open up, but she quickly became her foster's shadow and loves to stay close. She had a surprise for everyone when she went in for a checkup and was found to be pregnant. She raised her puppies perfectly, had her surgery and is now ready to be an independent lady in her own home. Lylah gets along with children, however she prefers a quiet atmosphere, so she prefers older children as they tend to be calmer. She can occasionally resource guard an item from other dogs. She eats slowly and likes to carry her food around, so she gets fed her in her playpen. Lylah is very gentle and gets along with other small dogs, but prefers when they are calm. She would also be great as a single dog. She is crate trained, and working on leash training, but she still finds it a little scary. It will take her a moment to adjust to new surroundings,but once she settles in she will be your best friend.
