At the end of February, we got a call about 4 lab puppies that were in a house fire, and of course we said yes to those 4 pups. We have had them for 7 weeks now, and they have made great progress. They do have hair loss on their backs, dry skin from their healing process, scars on their heads, legs, and toes. We are unsure if they will ever have fur in these areas. One of the blessings that didn't occur was smoke damage to their lungs. These pups aren't affected in any way by the fire, they are happy, bouncy and full of love and energy. It's only on the surface that someone can tell that something has happened to them, they get a bath in the mornings, they are used to having pj's put on them and being handled on a regular basis. We are slowly teaching them how to walk on a leash, just to make it easier for their future homes. Crispy Brinkley is the smallest one of the littler, at 20 weeks old and 24 pounds, she thinks she is the ring leader. Crispy does have more scares than her brother, but that has nothing to do with her personality. She is happy go lucky, loves people. She is our only chocolate lab, and she thinks she is special. She does not care for our resident office cat, and she will chase him. She does jump on people, she doesn't know her own size, so she will knock down little kids on accident. Her adoption fee is $250 All of our animals are provided with age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.
