At the end of February, we got a call about 4 lab puppies that were in a house fire, and of course we said yes to those 4 pups. We have had them for 7 weeks now, and they have made great progress. They do have hair loss on their backs, dry skin from their healing process, scars on their heads, legs, and toes. We are unsure if they will ever have fur in these areas. One of the blessings that didn't occur was smoke damage to their lungs. These pups aren't affected in any way by the fire, they are happy, bouncy and full of love and energy. It's only on the surface that someone can tell that something has happened to them, they get a bath in the mornings, they are used to having pj's put on them and being handled on a regular basis. We are slowly teaching them how to walk on a leash, just to make it easier for their future homes. Burny is the biggest of the litter, he is 20 weeks old and 32 pounds. He already has a good recall, he will walk next to you when asked, and he bounces when he runs. He is going to be big boy and would love to have the space to run and play with his new family. With the proper training and encouragement, he will pick up on new things quite easily, he will need to proper puppy toys to keep him focused so he doesn't chew and tear up things he shouldn't. With consistency he won't have an issue with potty training. His adoption fee is $250 All of our animals are provided with age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.
