About Scout

Scout’s nose is shaped like a perfect heart—a detail worth knowing right up front. He’s a young, freckled pit bull with the kind of easygoing nature that comes from deciding to leave a rough start behind. Found abandoned in rural Arkansas, Scout arrived at his foster home ready to roll with the chaos: he mingles comfortably with dogs of every size and listens politely to the cats. If the chihuahuas want to boss him around, he doesn’t take it personally. Scout sticks close to his people—some would say devoted, others might call it clingy, but either way, he’s happiest near you. After one memorable couch-chewing mistake, he learned quickly to stick with proper toys. He’s house trained, rarely makes a sound except for trips outside, and leans on the quiet and gentle side. Scout sometimes plays it shy for a moment when meeting someone new, but he warms up fast—mouth kisses ready within half a minute. Leash training is new to him, but he’s eager and ready to learn. He’s up to date on shots, neutered, and simply waiting for the right person. Scout is in northwest Arkansas now, but transport to the Kansas City area can be arranged. He’s open to foster or forever—just looking for that sense of belonging with his new people. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
