Hi, I'm Scout! Hi. My name is Scout, and before we go any further, I need you to know that my nose is shaped like a perfect heart. I just think that’s important information. I’m a freckled, flashy pitty boy, about 9 months old, and I had a bit of a rough start. I was found dumped as a stray in extremely rural Arkansas alongside two other unrelated puppies. A kind man discovered us and fed us until help could arrive. I don’t fully understand what happened or why, but I’ve decided not to dwell on it. That’s all behind me now. Onward! Right now I’m staying in a temporary home with a whole zoo of other animals — big dogs, little dogs, cats, you name it — and I get along with every single one of them. The chihuahuas boss me around the most, which, honestly, is fine. I respect my elders regardless of size. The cats and I have reached a mutual understanding where we simply pretend the other doesn’t exist, and it’s going really well for us. I’m the kind of dog who just wants to be near you. Inside, outside, doesn’t matter — I’m right there. Some might call it clingy, but I call it dedicated! I learned pretty quickly that the couch is not a chew toy (there was an incident), but give me my chew toys and I am the happiest, chillest little guy you’ve ever met. I haven’t had any accidents in the house, and the only time I make any noise at all is when I need to go outside. That’s it. That’s my whole loud. I’ll warn you: I can seem a little shy when we first meet. But give me about 30 seconds. Thirty seconds and I’m already going in for mouth kisses. I still need to learn how leashes work — I grew up in the country and they’re a brand new concept — but I am so eager to please and I pick things up fast when someone believes in me. I am sure I could have it sorted out in a few days and be walking like a champ, whether I’m in the big city or the ‘burbs. I’ve had all my shots, I’ve been neutered, and I have truly done everything right. I just need a person to give me a chance at the life I deserve. I’m in NW Arkansas right now, but transport to the KC area can certainly be arranged. Foster or forever — I’m not picky. I just really want to find my people! P.S. Guess what? I’m on YouTube!
