About Gunner
Gunner is a four-and-a-half-month-old English Bulldog/Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix with the classic big puppy energy. He arrived after not finding a home with his litter; here, he’s thrived with socialization and structure. Gunner brings a ton of spunk, loves to play, and isn’t shy about showing off his silly or affectionate side. He’s crate trained, knows several commands, and already has a good obedience foundation, but he’s still learning and does best with consistency. His leash manners around the neighborhood are impressive for his age, but in more stimulating places like stores, he can get a bit excited and pull—nothing a determined adopter can’t handle. Best fit: a household that enjoys the chaos of puppyhood—think plenty of energy, a strong exercise routine, and clear boundaries. He’s been around other dogs and does well with them, though he’s a rambunctious playmate and would probably overwhelm tiny dogs. Gunner is outgoing, great with both kids and other dogs, and makes friends fast. A fenced yard is ideal, but he adjusted to apartment life with some patience and structure. He isn’t quite house trained yet and still needs to be neutered, but his vaccinations are current for his age. Ready for the wild and fun puppy ride? Gunner is looking for someone who can keep up and keep guiding him as he grows. Your new best friend is just one click away.

Questions about Gunner
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Gunner, as an English Bulldog/Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix, is adaptable but will thrive in an active home where he can get plenty of attention and structure. A house with a fenced yard fits him best, though he has adjusted to apartment living with patience and routine.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Gunner would benefit from a yard where he can run and play, thanks to his high-energy Retriever side. If that’s not possible, consistent outdoor walks and play sessions will keep him happy and well-adjusted.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Both English Bulldogs and Chesapeake Bay Retrievers are generally good with kids, and Gunner’s playful, friendly personality makes him a good fit for families with children.
