Freddy stands out as a calm and sweet dog who adapts well to most families. He loves car rides and is up for any adventure, happiest when he's with his people. Children aged eight and up are a good match for him—he’s patient but easily startled by noisy ride-on toys, so homes with toddlers or very young kids aren’t a fit. Freddy’s comfortable around medium to large dogs and acts like a gentleman whether in the house, out for a walk, in the car, or even during bath time. He does have a strong prey drive, so he shouldn’t share a home with cats, small animals, or birds. Plush toys sometimes bring out the resource guarder in him around other dogs, but not people. Balls and frisbees are fair game. A funny quirk—he’s a bit of a tree climber outside, so you’ll need to keep an eye on him or use a secure tie-out to keep him safe.
