About Peanut
Meet Peanut and her companion Butters—a bonded pair whose loyalty to each other runs deep. A few years ago, they were found in rough shape, surviving together in a sugarcane field and relying on muddy water to get by. Life on the run left both dogs wary, especially around other canines, but the bond between them only strengthened. Peanut, a Jack Russell/Beagle mix, pulled through a near-fatal case of heartworm and still has tiny pellets in her chest as a reminder of their past. She is sensitive to loud noises, finding real comfort in Butters, who’s always by her side. Despite what they’ve survived, both dogs are now healthy, heartworm-free, microchipped, and spayed/neutered. Peanut’s sweet soul shines around people—she’s gentle, affectionate, has a soft mouth, and adores being close to her humans. They do best with children and thrive in a quiet home where they are the only dogs, feeling most at ease without other canine companions. For Peanut and Butters, staying together is non-negotiable. What they want most is a calm place to call home, safety, and steady love—something they've never truly known. They’ll repay it with loyalty and affection. Ready to fall in love?
