About Rufus
Rufus is a true survivor with a story that’s hard to believe. After 150 days in a high-risk shelter, overlooked and facing euthanasia, he finally got his second chance. Somehow, fate tested him again with a car accident just two days after his rescue. Yet Rufus, who now carries the nickname "The Warrior," pushed through life-threatening injuries and bounced back, always wagging his tail—and never missing a chance to flash his big smile. Living with a deformed paw and memories of a rough past, Rufus doesn’t let his hardships slow him down. He loves to walk (with extra care) and enjoys curling up on a soft rug when he's done exploring. He brings energy and joy to any room, and his foster family says his upbeat grin is infectious. Expect plenty of classic Husky "talk"—Rufus lets loose with an enthusiastic howl every now and then, especially when he’s excited. He’s deeply affectionate and craves human attention, now making up for the time he spent alone in a shelter and hospital kennel. Deft at snuggling and eager to connect, Rufus is ready for a home where he is truly part of the family. He gets along well with other dogs and kids, making him a great fit for many households. Rufus has worked hard for a new life; now, he’s ready to give his forever family a lifetime of silly smiles and joyful “awoos.” Click apply to start the adoption process.
