About Chewy
Chewy is a joyful, energetic Pit Bull Terrier who’s eager to find a loving home after being surrendered to the shelter. At about 4 years old, he’s playful and sweet, and he’ll melt for a good squeaky toy—just make sure to watch those plushies because he’ll destroy them in no time flat. Chewy handles people of all ages well and soaks up attention, making him a strong fit for a family, especially one with kids who understand and respect boundaries. He’s done well with his canine friend Gamora but hasn’t lived harmoniously with other animals, so he needs a cat-free and small-animal-free household. Chewy is house trained and knows basic commands. He pulls hard on leash, so he’ll need an adopter who can manage his strength and continue his training. He’s had a hernia repaired and, after developing happy tail syndrome, now sports a cute bob-tail to keep him injury-free. Already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, Chewy is ready to make someone’s family complete. Born December 30, he’s a Capricorn—known for loyalty and resilience.
