About Tango

Tango weighs in at 8 pounds and—despite everything—he still gives out a lot of love. At eight years and a bit, he's a classic brown Dachshund with a sweet, easy energy. He came to rescue with his brother Emmett after being abandoned, left in rough conditions without food or water. It didn't stop him. Even after that, Tango looks at his people like they're his whole universe. His trust, affection, and gentle spirit come through in every interaction. Since landing in foster care, Tango has started to gain weight and his coat is coming back better each week. He gets along with dogs, cats, and gentle kids. He enjoys a walk, and if you reach for a leash, he'll bounce right over—he can even pull off a pretty impressive Quick Step when it's time for a stroll. At dinner, he does a little dance with his excited paws. He eats soft food and, though he has no teeth, that doesn’t slow him down at all. Caring for Tango is simple. All he needs is a consistent routine of meals, walks, and plenty of snuggle time. He isn't yet house trained, but with patience and time, he'll catch on. He also needs eye drops twice a day, which he takes easily. Tango’s looking for someone who wants a loyal, cuddly companion for life. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
