Stella
AvailableStella is a small, short-coated Rat Terrier/Dachshund mix with a warm red-orange coloring. She is an adult, spayed female and is up to date on her vaccinations. Stella is house trained and currently lives in Newtown, CT. She does not get along with cats but does enjoy the company of other dogs.
About Stella
Stella landed at the rescue with her litter of newborn pups and a feisty little male Jack Russell mix, after their caretaker was no longer able to look after them. She spent much of her early life fending for herself outdoors, which made her pretty cautious at first, though that didn’t last long. Once she decided she was safe, Stella revealed a fiercely independent streak, shaped by her time surviving on her own. Still, she’s a devoted mother who did right by her puppies, and it’s her turn to get noticed. What Stella needs is a home with a yard she can roam—she’s no apartment dweller—and a resident dog or two would probably suit her, as long as they share her playful energy. Squeaky toys are her favorite thing in the world, and you’ll see her goofy, sweet side when she gets her paws on one. Underneath her scrappy confidence, she’s affectionate and ready to connect. Stella has put in the hard work; now she’s ready for a place to finally call her own. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
