About Custard
Custard had a rough start, spending nearly two months fending for himself on the street, coming out only at dusk and slowly learning to trust a kind stranger. Eventually, his fondness for other dogs brought him in from the cold, and now he is a bouncy, sensitive Sheepadoodle coming up on his first birthday. Custard has a medium-length, soft coat and weighs just over 30 pounds. He’s dog friendly and finds comfort in his kennel. Potty training is a work in progress, but he tries and will let you know when he needs more time on walks. Custard is still learning that people can be gentle, and quick motions or loud voices make him nervous. He needs a patient, calm environment with quiet routines and someone who can help him build confidence over time. Treats and a gentle approach go a long way. Custard shines with dog companions and is looking for someone who won’t give up on him—he certainly never gave up hope himself. He comes neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and current on flea and heartworm prevention. Fun fact: Custard is an Aries, and true to his sign, he’s brave even if a little shy at first. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
