Dottie is a female, 3 year, 55 pound, heeler mix. She does need to lose a few pounds to get back to a healthy weight. She is very loving and good with people, other dogs and cats. She does well in a kennel by herself and is housebroken. The only time she has a behavioral issue is when she is confined in a small space with other dogs (like having to share a small, confined pen or kennel space). in those situations she whines and nips out of frustration/anxiety, not aggression. - Personality: loving - Good with: people, dogs, cats - Training: housebroken, crate trained - Estimated date of birth: April 2023 - Weight: 55 pounds (but needs to lose some weight) - Medical: vetted, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped - Location: Currently located with a foster in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next monthly transport. ​Background: Dottie was initially given to a "friend" who mated her with their heeler. She almost died nursing the puppies. When the original owner discovered this, she took Dottie back and has asked us for help in finding her a new home. Dottie has now been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations, been dewormed, and is heartworm negative.
