About Jett
Jett found himself looking for a new family after his previous owners moved to an apartment where pets aren't allowed—a tough break for a dog still learning to trust again. He’s a striking Aussie/Lab Cattle Dog mix with a distinctive stubby tail and an expressive, round rump. Jett originally came north from Texas for a second chance, and after a rocky transition, he’s making progress in a board and train program. He's still working through his confusion, but with time and patience, he's growing more confident. Once Jett bonds with someone, it’s deep and loyal—just expect it to take a bit of patience as he adjusts. He loves his chew toys, especially a Nylabone or Kong, and really comes alive chasing after balls in the yard. True to his cattle dog roots, he needs to run and burn off energy somewhere safe. He also enjoys the company of other dogs, so a playful canine companion would suit him well. Jett is crate-trained and finds comfort in his crate when things get overwhelming. He's fully housebroken, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. Leash walking is still a work in progress, but he’s motivated to improve. He needs a stable, calm home—ideally with someone around during the day, since he can get anxious when left alone for long stretches. Jett won’t thrive in a home with cats. If you can offer Jett security, patience, and a friend to play with, he will reward you with deep loyalty and a playful spirit. Give him a shot at the stability he deserves. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
