Meet Duck! Duck is a male, German shepherd/golden retriever mix and born early March 2026! He is a part of our OBX litter! His entire litter was dropped off at the SWVA SPCA in a large plastic bag after mom stopped feeding them at around three weeks old. They have grown up in a foster home together and are ready to leave the nest! He is smart, friendly, hungry little pup! This handsome boys favorite activities include hiding under the porch, adventuring with his littermates, playing (of course) and nipping at flows pants, so older children in the home are preferred. He is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. His adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required neuter when age-appropriate. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
