About Sunny
Sunny is a goofy, affectionate Great Pyrenees and Golden Retriever mix who’s about two years old and tips the scale at nearly 100 pounds. He has the look and feel of an extra-large, golden-coated lap dog who can’t get enough physical closeness—he’ll lean into you, flop across your lap, or squeeze between your legs in greeting. While generally friendly with new people, Sunny can occasionally be a little cautious at first. He’s met kids on walks and handled those brief encounters well. Sunny’s playful side shines brightest around toys and other big dogs. He does best with larger buddies, as his enthusiasm and clumsiness can overwhelm the little ones. When alone with toys, he’s happiest, so it’s smart to stash them away if company is over. At home, he shares water bowls easily and matches your mood—ready for play or content to relax on the couch. Car rides are a favorite, and he enjoys walks, though he sometimes forgets how strong he is and pulls on leash until reminded to slow down. He’s house trained and will crate himself, although he prefers the living room if left alone. Sunny is neutered, vaccinated, and currently undergoing heartworm treatment (medication will be provided to his new people). He’s in Garland, TX, and adopters outside the area will need to handle transport. This big, happy guy is waiting to bring lots of fun and love to his future home. What are you waiting for?
