Meet Gunner! This 11-week-old, 5-pound neutered Chihuahua mix made his way from Alabama to New York City and is now ready to find his forever home. Gunner is a sweet, affectionate little pup who absolutely loves people. His favorite place is right in your lap, soaking up cuddles and chewing on his favorite toy—but he's also playful and curious, happily romping around and exploring his surroundings. Like many puppies, he has a soft spot for mischief (shoelaces beware!), and he's learning quickly with gentle redirection. Since arriving in NYC, Gunner has adjusted well to home life. He enjoys a nice balance of playtime, eating and naps, settles into his playpen at night, and may whimper briefly before drifting off to sleep. He's started using pee pads and will need continued house-training as he grows. He's also getting comfortable wearing a harness indoors and has already shown he can be a calm, quiet traveler in his carrier. Gunner currently lives with an older dog and is curious and friendly, though still learning his puppy manners—including that fingers aren't chew toys. With continued guidance, he's sure to grow into a well-mannered companion. Because of his tiny size, Gunner would do best in a home with older children or younger ones who are closely supervised. He doesn't need a lot of space but will thrive with a moderately active family who can keep him engaged, continue his training, and give him plenty of love and lap time. If you're looking for a cuddly, playful, and devoted little companion, Gunner might just be your perfect match! Age appropriately vaccinated for DHPP, and bordetella, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Will need rabies and DHPP annual vaccines.
