About Wirehaired Dachshund Dogs

Wirehaired Dachshunds are the most terrier-like of the three Dachshund coat varieties, with a rough, wiry outer coat and a soft undercoat. Their distinctive beard and bushy eyebrows give them a charming, expressive face. They tend to be bolder and more outgoing than their smooth-coated cousins.

Adopting a Wirehaired Dachshund brings a spirited, funny companion who is full of personality. They are brave, curious, and surprisingly tough for their size. Their wire coat provides extra protection and gives them a rugged, appealing appearance.
