About Honey
Honey is a pint-sized mixed-breed puppy bursting with energy, charm, and curiosity. At just around 14–15 weeks old, Honey already displays a huge personality—spunky, social, always up for whatever the day brings. Her favorite things revolve around movement and connection: wrestling with other dogs, sprinting and exploring outside, and closing the day curled up happily next to her people. She needs a home ready to channel that liveliness—a space where she’ll be engaged physically and mentally. If you’re into hiking, agility, or anything adventurous, Honey would dive right in and probably excel—she's athletic, smart, and motivated, with plenty of drive. Balance Honey’s go-go-go side with her deep affection for humans. Once she’s had her fill of the action, she’s every bit as content to snuggle and wind down with the crew. She would fit best with an active, dog-savvy family, ideally with a playful canine companion. Because her play style is intense and her puppy mouth is strong, teens or adults are a better match than young kids. Her history includes recovering from an old kneecap fracture, but she’s completely on the move and doesn’t need medical work now—Hearts for Paws will stand behind her if anything comes up later. Honey isn’t fully house trained yet, but she manages fine with short periods alone in a safe, puppy-proofed space. Her estimated adult weight should hit around 50 pounds, but that’s a guess. She’s current on puppy vaccinations and will be adopted out on a spay agreement. She’s fostered in Oakland and looking for an active adopter with a bit of dog experience who’s ready for her joyful presence. Your new best friend is just one click away.
