About Grayson
Grayson is an energetic and smart dog searching for a rescue partner who can provide structure and guidance. In the shelter, he tends to get overstimulated but shows real curiosity toward people and can settle with clear cues. Grayson generally handles being touched, though he is a bit sensitive around his hindquarters. He warms up to gentle handling and gives soft eye contact after initial uncertainty. Social and eager, Grayson greets new people enthusiastically. His excitement sometimes leads him to grab leashes or objects, so he needs experienced handlers who can offer structured outlets for his energy. He walks on leash but pulls hard and tends to bite the leash if bored, so metal leashes are in use now until his leash manners improve with continued training. During introductions to other dogs, Grayson is interested but can become frustrated if not managed carefully. He benefits from calm, parallel walks, but for now, he's best suited to a single-dog home. When eating, he finishes quickly and does not show significant guarding, tolerating petting during meals and sometimes dropping chew items on his own. Grayson is not recommended for homes with children and does best with experienced adopters who can support ongoing behavior work and set clear boundaries. He’s ready for a committed partner who understands strong, active dogs. Your new best friend is just one click away.
