About Thea

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Thea is a 1 1⁄2 year old pit mix who is as sweet as she is playful. This bouncy girl greets everyone she meets with happy tail wags, kisses, and a whole lot of enthusiasm. She’s eager to get outside for walks (though she does pull hard on the leash!) and is always ready to explore the world by your side. With her people, Thea is affectionate and loving—she enjoys curling around for pets, happily offers her paws, and will lean right in for attention. She can be a little shy when first meeting someone new or walking into a new space, but she warms up quickly with gentle encouragement. Her soft almond eyes and wiggly body say it all—she just wants to be loved. Thea would do best with an experienced adopter who understands her needs. She should be the only dog in the home (unless adopted with her brother, Thanos, whom she adores) and would do best in an adult-only household. If you’re looking for a sweet and affectionate companion who will keep you smiling, Thea may be the perfect match. Come meet this lovable girl and let her show you just how much joy she can bring to your life! Hamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot offer any guarantees on the age, health, temperament, personality or mental disposition of any pet. Hamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot and does not represent, warrant, promise, or guarantee how the adopted pet will interact or react to the new home environment. Adoption is the new adventure! Questions about Thea

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Pit Bull Terrier mixes are adaptable but thrive best in homes with ample space and attentive owners. They do well in houses with securely fenced yards and benefit from environments that offer both physical and mental stimulation.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

A pit bull mix benefits from access to a securely fenced yard where they can burn off energy, but daily walks and play sessions are just as important regardless of yard size.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Many Pit Bull Terrier mixes can be suitable for homes with older, respectful children, especially with proper training and socialization. Supervision is recommended, as with any dog, to ensure positive interactions.
