About Xoloitzcuintli / Mexican Hairless Dogs

Xoloitzcuintlis, or Xolos, are ancient Mexican dogs that come in hairless and coated varieties and three sizes. They are one of the oldest and rarest dog breeds, dating back over 3,000 years. The Aztecs believed they had healing powers and would guide souls to the underworld.

Adopting a Xolo brings a calm, loyal companion with an extraordinary heritage. They are intelligent, attentive, and form strong bonds with their family. The hairless variety is hypoallergenic and needs skin care, while both varieties are clean, quiet, and easy to live with.
