Meet Rue! Rue is a stunning 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) with a striking look and a thoughtful, observant personality. Rue came to us due to a unique situation; his previous home was concerned about him being underfoot for an elderly neighbor. Through no fault of his own, he’s now looking for a new place to call home. We’re still getting to know Rue, but so far, he seems to do well with other dogs. We are unsure how he feels about cats or young children, so slow introductions and a patient home will be important. Like many Heelers, Rue is intelligent, aware of his surroundings, and will thrive in a home that can provide structure, guidance, and engagement. He would do best with someone who understands the needs of his breed and is ready to help him settle in and succeed. Rue is a beautiful dog with so much potential, just waiting for the right person to give him a chance.
