About Huey
Huey is a blue tick hound and heeler mix who’s about a year old and has spent his entire life so far in the shelter. He’s ready for a foster or forever home and just wants a place to settle in. He’s quick to pick up new things and listens well, and is making good progress with potty training. Around children, Huey is patient, takes things slow, and never acts pushy. He does well with other dogs and enjoys playtime, but he’s definitely the calm and quiet one of his group. Huey might start off shy with people, though he warms up fast once he trusts you. He loves carrying around his toys—sometimes even sleeping with them, no matter what shape they’re in. He kennels without trouble, but you'll want to remind him to wait before eating or he’ll try to dig in while you’re still pouring. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
