Kita here. If you’re looking for a dog with layers… I regret to inform you I am not an onion. I am, however, very sweet and very fun—which honestly feels like a better deal. Why complicate things? You want a dog who makes you smile, follows you around like you’re the most interesting person on earth, and occasionally acts like life is one big happy adventure? Great. That’s literally my entire personality. You see, I’ve mastered the delicate balance of being fun without being exhausting, affectionate without being clingy, and charming enough that you’ll probably forgive me for literally anything within the first 30 seconds. In summary: I’m the kind of dog people meet and go, “Oh… yeah. That’s a good dog.” I am 7 months old, 50 lbs of fluff, personality, and what I’d like to call perfectly portioned greatness. Let’s address the elephant in the room… or in this case, the “why is this dog still available” situation. I somehow managed to end up in the shelter not once, but TWICE. Yep. Two times. Like a bad sequel no one asked for. I waited there since February, got adopted for a hot minute (we’re talking days), and then—plot twist—returned. Rude, honestly. But hey, I’m choosing to believe the universe just said, “Nope, that wasn’t your people. We’ve got something better lined up.” And now here I am, in rescue, getting my well-deserved second (okay… third?) chance at finding my actual forever home. Now let’s talk specs, since I know you’re wondering. I’m about 50 lbs right now and not expected to get too much bigger—basically the perfect “big enough to feel like a real dog, small enough to not accidentally take out your coffee table” size. You’re welcome. Personality-wise? I’m sweet. Like, genuinely sweet. And fun? Oh, I’ve got that covered too. I’m the kind of girl who’s happy to join in on whatever you’re doing, whether that’s hanging out, playing, or just supervising your daily life like it’s my full-time job. So yeah… my past may have been a little chaotic (again, not my fault), but my future? It’s looking real bright. Especially if it includes you. 🐾💖 Oh, other dogs? Yeah, I’m what you’d call a social butterfly… if butterflies body-slammed each other for fun and then cuddled like nothing happened. 🦋My favorite hobbies include wrestling, zooming around like I’ve had three cups of coffee, and then—plot twist—plopping down directly on top of them like I am, in fact, a 50 lb weighted blanket for cuddles. Personal space? Never heard of her. If there is another dog within a 10-foot radius, I will be near them. Preferably touching them. Ideally laying on them. Consent is… implied. 😌 The good news is, I’m all about fun and friendship. No weird vibes, just “let’s play, let’s cuddle, let’s be inseparable immediately.” So if your current dog is looking for a live-in bestie who doubles as a wrestling partner and part-time pillow… congratulations, you found me. Cats? Unfortunately, my legal team has advised me to say my experience with them is “unknown.” Which means I have not yet formed an official opinion on whether they are friends, roommates, or dramatic little freeloaders. Kids? Also a bit of a limited résumé situation. I’ve only hung out with teenagers so far, and honestly… we vibed. They’re basically tall kids who understand snacks and personal space, which I respect. No tiny humans have been tested yet, so if your household includes the small, fast, sticky-fingered variety, I’d just need proper introductions and guidance so I can figure out my role—best friend, gentle bodyguard, or snack supervisor. In summary: I’m not saying I won’t be amazing with cats and kids… I’m just saying we haven’t unlocked those levels yet. 🐾 Energy level? I’ve been rated a solid 7/10. I enjoy a good play session, a little wrestling with my dog friends, maybe some zoomies to keep things interesting—and then I’m perfectly happy to clock out and lounge like I just worked a full shift. Basically, I’m the perfect mix of “let’s go do something fun” and “okay that was enough, I will now be laying down dramatically.” Adventure-seeker or homebody? I’m what experts call a “wherever you are is the vibe” kind of girl. 🐾Big hike? Cool, I’ll come along and pretend I’m starring in a nature documentary. Netflix marathon? Also cool, I will be your emotional support blanket (yes, all 50 lbs of me). Running errands? Don’t threaten me with a good time—I love a field trip. Honestly, it’s less about what we’re doing and more about the fact that I am doing it with you. I’m not out here trying to live a solo adventure life—I’m trying to be your slightly clingy, very sweet, always-down-for-whatever sidekick. Rain? Love it. Outside time? Absolutely. Random water dumped by my friend Bean? Even better—nothing says “thriving” like surprise puddles created specifically for my enjoyment. I’m not necessarily diving into lakes like a dramatic movie scene, but if there’s water involved while I’m already outside living my best life? Count me in. Now toys… let’s talk about toys. I like toys. I enjoy chewing them, holding them, casually lounging with them like they’re my emotional support objects. Fetch, however? Fetch is where I draw the line. You throw it, I look at you, you look at me… and we both know that was your decision, not mine. I’m not here to chase your poor throwing choices. I will supervise though. Very attentively. Living situation? I’m what you’d call flexible. Could I do a house with a fenced yard? Absolutely. I would frolic, supervise the neighborhood, and live my best “I patrol this kingdom” life. Could I do an apartment or no-fence situation? Also yes… but let’s be very clear—you are now responsible for my entertainment committee. That means walks. Actual walks. Not the “we stepped outside for 30 seconds and called it enrichment” kind. I need movement, fresh air, and a chance to see what the world is up to. Basically, I’m not picky about where I live… I’m picky about whether you plan to exercise me or not. Potty training: I’m getting there. If the door is open, I’m like “nailed it.” If it’s not… well… I’m not exactly sending you a formal notification yet. Crate? Unknown. We have not explored that storyline. Vocal talents: I will alert you when someone arrives (you’re welcome) and occasionally share my thoughts with the neighbors from the backyard. But I’m actually pretty reasonable—tell me to quiet down and I usually go, “fair enough.” Lastly, I didn’t exactly come from the best situation. I’m still learning that people can be kind, that I’m safe, and that I’m not going to get hurt. Sometimes new places—like the vet—or big changes make me a little nervous. So when you meet me, I might not immediately launch myself into your arms like a golden retriever in a rom-com. I know, shocking. Please don’t take it personally. I just need a minute to figure out that you’re one of the good ones. But despite all of that? I am so sweet. I want love. I lean into love. I’m trying really hard to figure out how to be someone’s dog—to trust, to relax, to just exist without worrying. So give me a little time. A little patience. And I promise… I’m worth it. 🐾💖 Now for the important part—how you earn the privilege of adopting me. You don’t just show up and scoop me like I’m on clearance at Target. Please be serious. You’ll need to fill out an adoption application (yes, actual paperwork, I know… devastating) so my people can make sure you’re worthy of all this greatness. Once approved, they’ll pass your info along to my foster family so they can confirm you understand what you’re signing up for—aka me. And then… you come get me. In Norman. No, I will not be shipping myself. No, I will not be Ubering. So go ahead—apply at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app Impress me. Let’s make this official. 🐾
