This 6-year-old, small white poodle came to us after being rescued from a breeder in South Carolina, and while her past may not have offered her much of the world beyond that environment, she’s now getting the chance to discover what it truly means to be someone’s beloved companion. Since arriving, Mia has been taking everything in at her own pace—new sights, new routines, and new people. It’s clear she’s soaking it all up, learning day by day that the world can be a safe and gentle place. There’s something really special about watching a dog like Mia begin to open up—it’s in the small moments, the curious glances, the quiet companionship, and the growing confidence that starts to shine through.
