About Sapporogentle Housemate Cat

To complete an adoption application for Sapporo, please copy and paste the link below in your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LCI/Cat Meet Sapporo Sapporo is a sweet, unique boy (about 3 years old) with an adorable “wobbly” walk, similar to cats with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). It doesn’t slow him down much, but he does need a safe, stair-free home to prevent falls. Sapporo was rescued from the same hoarding situation as Jean and we're including his before picture so you can see what his fur looked like before his shave down of all the painful mats. His fur is growing back in and he's going to be a very handsome boy with movie star looks! He eats well (wet or dry!) and uses a regular litter box like a pro. Because he can be a bit enthusiastic at mealtime, he does best with larger, slightly raised bowls. He prefers life at ground level, so cozy beds, soft spaces, and cat caves are perfect for him. Sapporo is more of a quiet companion than a lap cat. He can be shy at first and may hiss if startled, but with patience and gentle handling, he may reward you with soft purrs. He’s never aggressive—just cautious. (No picking up for now, as he may try to jump and could hurt himself.) He’d be happy as a solo cat or with a calm feline friend (he especially likes Jean!). Sapporo is perfect for someone looking for a gentle “housemate” cat—a quiet presence to share your home and heart. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt from us. We accept online/electronic credit or debit card pre-payments for adoptions (no cash). NOTE: Please do not ask us to HOLD a cat/kitten for you. Our space is very limited as we don't have a facility. Laurel Cats does not have a shelter or storefront. Our kittens and cats are placed in the homes of loving volunteer fosters until they are adopted. This means our cats are accustomed to being handled and loved. Please ask questions if you're interested in any of our cats
