Nika
AvailableNika is a female Black Labrador Retriever, just over a year and a half old, with a black coat. She’s a medium-sized, house trained, spayed dog living in Flower Mound, TX. Her vaccinations are up to date, and she’s known for her gentle and friendly nature.
About Nika
Nika came from rough beginnings—rescued with her eight pups from living among garbage. Since settling in with her foster, she's transformed into a sleek black beauty. At 47 lbs and gaining, Nika is a smart, curious dog, quick to figure out house routines, but she’ll never turn down a chance to sniff for snacks and might check the counters for treats if left unsupervised. She loves squeaky toys, learning fetch, and tackling new commands, always eager to please. Walks make her happy and she keeps a keen eye out for rabbits, but birds and squirrels don't tempt her. In the house, she's well-behaved, house trained, and uses the dog door reliably. Nika is at ease in her crate or on a dog bed but would gladly join you on the couch. She’s good with other dogs and gentle with kids, and might be fine with cats, though that’s untested. Baths are not her favorite, but she tolerates them. Despite a previous heartworm diagnosis (treatment provided by Humane Tomorrow), Nika is blossoming fast. She rides well in the car and settles easily when left alone. Nika’s biggest wish is to be part of a loving home where her big heart and smarts will be appreciated. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
