Beautiful CALLIE was surrendered to the shelter, when her former guardians had a new baby. After being in a home her whole life, CALLIE was confused about the sudden change. But sweet CALLIE was soon adopted and lived with her new family for about a year. They recently had a family member surrender her because she had stopped using her litter box and was urinating on the floor. When asked if they had taken her to a vet to see if there was an issue, such as a U.T.I. which is common and easily taken care of, they said no. Naturally we are happy to have her back where she will get medical attention and be cared for. CALLIE is a sweet, friendly kitty who loves attention and is well behaved. She does not deserve to be treated as an object to be tossed aside when there is an inconvenience in the home. And vet visits are part of having a pet. She does ok with the roomies at the shelter. But she does NOT like dogs! CALLIE is such a sweet girl; she will do great with kids. She is however an older kitty, so she is probably more a lover than a player at this point. Children in the household need to be older and understand that she may like a bit of playtime, but she is more apt to want to snuggle on the couch, or in your arms! She loves snuggles! If you are looking for a sweet, affectionate kitty who only wants a home that will love and care for her FOREVER, CALLIE is your girl!
