Meet Bonnie — A Gentle Soul Looking for Home Again Bonnie once had a home. She once had a person. And then, suddenly, she didn’t. Bonnie is a 6-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd, part of the Toy Breed family, with the most beautiful fluffy tricolor coat of black, brown, and white and weighing in at just over 12lbs. She was surrendered after the passing of her owner — the only life she had ever known. Everything familiar to her disappeared overnight. Since then, Bonnie has been quietly trying to understand her new world. She doesn’t demand attention or make a fuss. In fact, Bonnie is the kind of dog who sits back and watches, taking everything in. She is shy at first, unsure, and a little guarded, maybe a few barks — but given time, she begins to soften. And when she does, you start to see the gentle, loving dog she truly is. Bonnie is potty trained, crate trained when needed, and does well on a routine. She even understands potty pads. She gets along well with other dogs and is politely social, never pushy or overwhelming. And Bonnie is even good with cats! She enjoys the simple things — a soft toy, a quiet moment, and most of all, a big fluffy bed where she can feel safe and cozy. She doesn’t ask for much. She just wants a place where she can belong again. Bonnie will need a little patience with leash work, and a little time to fully trust. But she is trying. Every day, in her own quiet way, she is trying. Because of her gentle and timid nature, Bonnie would do best with a calm, older adopter — someone who understands that not every dog comes running into your arms right away. Some, like Bonnie, need a little time. A little kindness. A little understanding. And in return, they give you something incredibly special. Bonnie is not just looking for a home. She is looking for her person again. Someone to sit beside. Someone to trust. Someone to love. If you have a quiet home and a patient heart, Bonnie may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. __________________________________________________________________________________ GETTING BONNIE HOME: Bonnie is spayed, microchipped & vaccinated and would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands she has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with her new family. NOTE: THIS IS AN "OUT OF TOWN PET" - that means she is not at this location but we do have transport here - more about transport below. Our Rescue is Houston based (https://www.facebook.com/TwilightTailsRescue) and all our fosters and Rescue Ranch are in and around Houston. Currently this dog is being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below. Adoption fee is $425 plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport. Please complete the application on this link: https://forms.gle/FKSMBuoGTujaTkun8 Or email Sandra.ttr.tx@gmail.com for a link to the application. Once your application is approved, we can arrange a FaceTime session for you to meet her. Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport. We use what we think is the best dog transport service in the region and have for years - Andrea and her crew really offer first class transport!
