Hi, I’m Rosie… a little Mini Aussie with a big heart and an even bigger love for my people. I’m about 7 years old, 25 lbs and if you’re looking for a loyal companion who truly wants to be by your side, I might just be your girl. You can see me in my pictures with my long winter coat and with a shorter hair cut that my owner gives me to be more comfortable during the Texas hot months. I’m the affectionate type—the kind who leans in for pets, follows you from room to room, and quietly keeps you company. I’m sweet with everyone I meet, and I’ve done wonderfully living with other dogs, both now and in my past home. Cats? I don’t pay them much mind. I enjoy my walks, I’ll happily chase a ball for a game of fetch, and then I’m just as content settling in close for a calm, cozy moment. I’ve lived in a home with teenage boys and a busy household, and I’ve fit right in. My energy is nicely balanced—I enjoy activity, but I’m not overwhelming. Right now, I’m carrying a little extra weight because I didn’t always get everything I needed before, but with regular walks and a bit of routine, I’m already on my way to feeling my best. At home, I have lovely manners. I’m house trained, and while I don’t have much crate experience, I’ve done perfectly when left in a room on my own—I respect my space and yours. I’m up to date on all my vaccinations, spayed, and I take Trifexis to stay healthy and protected. Life with me feels warm and steady… like a quiet presence beside you during your morning coffee, or a soft companion at your feet on a chilly evening. I don’t need chaos—I just need connection, consistency, and someone who enjoys being loved as much as I enjoy giving it. My story is simple. My previous owner passed away from old age, and I found myself needing a new place to belong. I’ve handled the transition with grace, and now I’m ready for the next chapter—one where I’m truly part of a family again. I’m not in a rush. I believe the right home feels right—for both of us. A place where I’ll get the attention I love, where I can be included, and where my gentle, devoted nature is appreciated. I was rescued in Texas, but I’m looking for a foster-to-adopt home in the Northeast. That means you and I get 2–3 weeks to live life together and see how we fit—no pressure, just real time to connect. If for any reason it’s not the right match, my rescue will make sure I’m safely placed with another family. Transport runs every other weekend, and I can meet you in East Hartford, Connecticut or Brattleboro, Vermont. I like to think of it as the start of something special… a little journey toward finding my person. If you’re interested, the best way to apply is through the website: www.rociosrescues.org Or you can email: rociosrescues@yahoo.com Sometimes Petfinder inquiries get lost in spam, so the website is the most reliable way to make sure we don’t miss each other. I have a feeling my person is out there… and if you’ve made it this far, I think we might need to meet
