About Zoey
Meet Zoey, a young French Bulldog mix who has survived more than most dogs ever will. At just over a year old, Zoey was rescued from grim conditions—her skin was raw from demodex mange, all but hairless and plagued by infection, surrounded by scabs. On top of that, she’d faced a respiratory infection, parasites, and the kind of shutdown that comes from a life starved of care. Despite all this, Zoey pulled through. She’s healed up impressively well, with ongoing support, proper food, medicated baths, and true patience. These days, Zoey is enjoying the basics every dog deserves: toys, nap spots, and the comfort of a consistent hand. She especially comes alive around other playful dogs and needs to join a home where she’ll have at least one dog friend. Her play style is goofy and full of energy, but she’ll need slow intros to feel safe. Cats don’t suit her; she sees them as playthings, so a cat-free home is ideal. Zoey is making steady strides with house training and already has the doggy door figured out. She likes exploring the yard and does her own backyard patrols, but is still learning about leashes and car rides—daily encouragement is key. Ongoing care for her skin will be needed: good food, routine medicated baths, and some vet follow-up. Her fur may never fully fill in, but her spirit and personality make up for it. Zoey belongs with experienced, patient adopters who get that her confidence is a work in progress. She does best around tolerant resident dogs and won’t mind gentle children either—she’s shown she can handle the energy of a toddler. For someone ready to offer structure, love, and a bit of humor, Zoey will give back loyalty and heart. Your new best friend is just one click away.
