Flynn
AvailableFlynn is a small adult male Dachshund currently in Jacksonville, FL. He is neutered and house trained. Although his colors aren't specified, he's described as a sweet and gentle dog. Flynn has a heart murmur and a benign fatty tumor on his back leg that both require ongoing monitoring by a vet. He is known to be good with other dogs and quickly becomes attached to people once he trusts them.
About Flynn
Flynn’s story starts out on the streets of Jacksonville, running loose with nobody looking for him, but he’s a survivor—always manages to land on his paws. He took his time learning to trust his foster family, but when he did, he fell hard for them. Now he’s looking for his own permanent spot, ideally with folks who have a little patience for that initial shy phase. Once he warms up, Flynn is affectionate, sweet, and obviously worth it. He enjoys leash walks, gets along fine with other dogs, and fits right in with men and women alike—he just needs that time to settle in. Flynn does have a heart murmur, found at his intake exam. It doesn’t slow him down, but his adopter should be prepared for regular vet checkups and possible future cardiac care; he’ll need a vet visit soon after adoption. There’s also a benign fatty tumor on his leg—nothing serious but worth monitoring. He does carry a little extra weight, though healthy meals and those walks he loves will help him slim down naturally. Flynn repays kindness with sweetness and has proven himself to be gentle, grateful, and loyal. If you’re ready to give him a soft place to land, Flynn will give you his trust. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
