Meet WALTER! He is an 1.5-year-old (DOB 08/11/2024), 75#, German Shepherd Dog who is smart and wants to please! ***GSD EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. HE HAD ROUGH BEGINNINGS, AND HAS BEEN RESCUED FROM STARVATION AND CRUELTY. HE HAS BEEN WITH AAP HEALING SINCE 02/10/2026. NO SMALL DOGS OR CATS - PREY DRIVE*** Walter is a sweet boy who is loving and friendly! He is learning leash manners and basic commands with us, and is looking for a leader to continue his training. We have found he is treat motivated, and is a fast learner. He enjoys his trail walks, and has supervision in the yard. We are currently working on his yard play escilation to keep him calm with jumping up. He is curious, smart, and is great on an adventure! He enjoys car rides, and keeps a tidy kennel. He is a great companion and family dog whose best fit is with an active outdoorsy family. Children are unknown, however we recommend 13+ kids who are kind and dog savvy, due to his exhuberance and size. Due to a strong prey drive small dogs, small animals, and cats are a no go for this guy. A secure fenced yard is required to keep him safe and happy!
