About Jake

Jake is a goofy, enthusiastic 4-year-old German Shepherd mix, weighing around 70 lbs, who’s been waiting far too long for his own family. He grew up in rescue after being abandoned as a pup, and he’s watched every last sibling and even his mom get adopted—Jake’s the last one left. He’s a natural sweetheart: loves pets, scratches, and belly rubs from just about anyone, and he greets both strangers and friends with the same warm attitude. Smart and quick to learn, Jake knows how to walk nicely on leash (and off leash, too), and he’s always up for a game of tug or a road trip. He thrives on being involved and tags along for any family bustle, whether that’s hiking, camping, or just hanging out while you run errands. Jake’s lovable spirit comes wrapped in a big, athletic package—he needs an active home. He does best with another large-breed dog to wrestle and play with (he’s a bit much for small dogs). Jake is well-mannered, affectionate, loyal, and genuinely smitten with humans of all ages. He’s vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and in great health. If you’re looking for an outgoing companion who’ll keep up with your adventures and shower you with affection, Jake might be your guy. Click apply to start the adoption process.
