Meet Louie! 🐾 If you're looking for a big, affectionate best friend who thinks cuddling is an Olympic sport, Louie might just be your perfect match. Louie is a lovable goofball with a gentle heart. Around the house, he's incredibly easy to live with—he loves lounging on the couch, sleeping in, and soaking up as much cuddle time as you'll give him. He's perfectly content spending the day by your side and can also relax quietly when left home alone. While Louie enjoys getting outside, he's not a dog who needs endless exercise to be happy. A little activity, plenty of relaxation, and quality time with his people are his ideal recipe for life. One of Louie's biggest strengths is how much he loves people. He forms strong bonds with his humans and enjoys making new friends. He's also done well with dogs once he's had a chance to get acquainted. After a proper introduction, he's happy to hang out, relax alongside his canine buddies, and occasionally break into joyful zoomies. Louie is a smart, eager learner who genuinely enjoys training. He loves working with his person, thrives on routine, and has already made great progress with his leash skills. His future family will have a wonderful foundation to build on. Louie’s one issue is that he is very uncomfortable seeing unfamiliar dogs and is reactive when another dog is barking, staring, or lunging. Because of this, he'll do best with someone who has experience handling large dogs and is comfortable continuing the training that's already helping him succeed. At home, though, he's calm, affectionate, and wonderfully easy to live with. Louie would thrive in a home that enjoys a predictable, relaxed lifestyle. A securely fenced yard is a bonus, but his favorite place will always be wherever you are—especially if there's a cozy bed or couch involved. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's equal parts couch potato and devoted sidekick, Louie is ready to find his forever family.
